Day 4, Sept 1, 2023 Koln Cologne Germany

Cologne, DE

I left Arnhem at 9:00 am. I was suppose to leave at 10:23 and take 4 trains but I walked over to the train station last night and changed my tickets. I still have to take 4 trains but have more time between trains instead of just 3-5 minutes. Good thing I did that because it rained all day. You should have seen me running with my bike and another 15 people with their bikes trying to get to the right platform in the rain. This time I actually had a seat to sit on.

My Hotel the Ibis Koln Am Dom is right across from the train station and right by St Peters Gothic church. Absolutely beautiful and is a World Heritage sight. Started to build in 1248. 20 thousand people come everyday so it is really busy even though it is raining. Went out to find food and back to the hotel to eat. Nice having my bike again in my room so I can clean and repack everything. Tomorrow I head to the Deutsche Ecke in Koblenz Germany. Now it is time to head down the Rhine and on my way to Munich as I am in Germany!
